Whether or not your a fan of the Bulls or can't stand their guts, Chicago's relevancy is a necessity for the NBA. The franchise is right up there with the Lakers, Celtics and Knicks in terms of legacy and with each being a contender in the past few years, the NBA has been able to really gain back all the ground it lost in the early 2000s.
Derrick Rose's brutal injury last season forced us to miss out on a Bulls-Heat rematch in the Eastern Conference Finals (though I'll say the Celtics picked up the slack) and even worse it could cost us a full season without the tantalizing point guard. Without Rose, the Bulls are absolutely nothing, and will not contend in his absence. Reports have said that he is rehabbing ahead of schedule, but even at that it'll be a risk to play him before January. By then the Bulls could be 10 or so games under .500 and Rose will need time to readjust to the fast paced game.
With all that said, Addidas took an opportunity to capitalize on Rose's misfortunes by producing a phenomenal commercial. Enjoy.
