The Winter Classic. The one day of the entire year that the NHL gets a smidgeon of serious national attention. The one day where everyone at least spends a minute watching the NHL. For us hockey die hards, it's a day to celebrate and it's a day to hate every casual fan on this earth(just kidding). This year's Winter Classic will probably be the best yet. We've got New York vs. Philly. Two cities that hate each other, and more importantly two teams that hate each other. Oh, and guess what? They're both damn good this year with the Flyers leading the East and the Rangers three points behind them. But what's even better than the game is the show that comes with it. 24/7: Road To The Winter Classic is basically sports gold. It's an inside look at the weeks leading up to the big game, as cameras follow these two teams literally everywhere they go. Last year's version, featuring the Penguins and Capitals, was incredible as we discovered that Bruce Boudreau couldn't go a independent clause without dropping an F-bomb. These little things are what make the show so unbelievable and so real. I can't wait to see what Rangers coach John Tortorella has to say, he's doesn't think twice about running his mouth. So tune it tonight at 10 PM on HBO, and then again at 11 if you miss it. Should be an absolute classic.
