Alex Ovechkin has been a grade "A" disappointment and, uncoincidentally, the Washington Capitals have been a big one too. Through 27 games, Ovie only has 9 goals and 20 pts. Now, that's not a bad season for any other player in the NHL. But we're not talking about any other player in the NHL, when we're talking about Alex Ovechkin. Last night, though, #8 pulled off an absolutely mesmerizing move that led to the GWG for the Caps. Ovechkin, skating practically coast-to-coast, kept skating around the net. Once he got to about the top of the right face-off circle in the Senators' offensive zone he threw on the Parking brake, sending a wave of mist in the air and 2008 1st round pick Erik Karlsson on his merry way in the other direction. Ovie then skated in and let off a well-directed snapper in the back of the net. Simply put: Vintage Ovie. Let's see if this dirty goal turns his season around.
